Manifestation doesn’t have to be all about journaling. It could just be the perfect manicure.
As the practice of manifestation, or positioning one’s self to attract a specific outcome, continues to grow, a crop of new tactics are taking hold. With the power of color theory, manifesters are now employing their manicures to achieve their wildest dream — and for many, it’s working.
Rachel Onefater, a New York City-based psychic, medium, intuitive healer and founder and chief executive officer of Ora Mer, which is soon to have its own line of products, is a staunch believer in the practice and has had success for herself and her clients.
“Using your nails, or pretty much anything external or aesthetic, to manifest, all the things that we’re wanting, hoping for, envisioning for our lives, our dreams, big, small, somewhere in between, [it] pours it out,” she said. “I feel like our hands are things that we use literally every single day, and so it’s something that we look at, that we feel [and] touch outside of what’s going on inside of us.”
She added: “It’s completely impacted my life in the most powerful ways. Back in February, I did a lighter blue, and I signed like six contracts that month. Lighter blue is [about] using your voice, speaking your truth, putting yourself out there.”
Onefater added that designs can also be a powerful way to combine colors and deepen the outcome you are looking to manifest.
Creators on social media have also taken to the practice. TikTok creator and author of “You Have the Magic” Haley Hoffman Smith discussed the concept in a video, presenting how she lists out specific intentions and imagines each manicure is infused with them.
As more people flock to manifesting manicures and other attraction practices, Onefater advises people to tap into the feelings of the outcome they are seeking.
“One thing that I would want to make clear is that, rather than the thing itself, so like manifesting a relationship, I would tap into the energy of how you want those things to feel as an anchor point over wanting a relationship itself,” she said.
For newbies to the practice, Onefater suggests simply following your intuition.
“If there are colors or styles or vibes that you naturally gravitate towards, lean into that and then maybe get curious about the meaning behind it and look it up yourself,” she said. “Use yourself as an anchor. You know yourself best always.”
Here, a look at how certain colors can lend themselves to manifestation per Onefater, and a look at her own manicures and their results.
Pink:
“Any form of pink is new beginnings energy. If you’re tired, drained of whatever it is you’re going through, and you want to refresh, incorporating pink as like a base layer or in a design is a great color to use.”
Orange:
“If you are wanting to kind of live a life of adventure and wanting to say yes to more things, if you are expanding in your career, in personal relationships, but I would say especially in career and your sense of creativity and just wanting to say, like, yes to life and have more surprises and magic come into your orbit. I would go with orange.”
Purple:
“[Purple is] the one that is most associated with divine energy, spiritual gifts, high frequency, like tapping into this space of surrender and trust.”
Green:
“Green is actually great for relationships, opening up [and] if you’re wanting to make new friends, expand social circles and expand into relationship spaces.”
Yellow:
“Yellow of any hue speaks to our space of self-confidence. It’s being, frankly, that bitch.”
Blue
“Blue is hue-dependent. If you’re wanting to come back home, come to center, tap into yourself, I would go with a deeper, more indigo blue. If you’re wanting to start to use your voice… and the space that you take up verbally, vocally in the world, I would go with lighter blues.”
Red
“[Red is] if you are looking for any type of rooting or stability or security, be it in your home, emotional security [or] financial security.”

“These were my 2025 nails (January nails!) with orange and purple energy and I went with an orange base to create a sense of rooting in creation (i.e. creating a space for a new apartment I wanted, creating new products, expanding my business, saying yes to more, traveling more) and to have those things I was creating feel infused with this energy of trust and surrender (the airbrushed purple) and feel open to the magic coming in!”

“I was ready to start expanding my network, start signing contracts, and magnetizing opportunities by putting myself out there, and this design just reminded me of flowing water (the energy of things moving in that served me and pushing out the things that no longer do!).”

“I was ready to hit the ground running on new beginnings with my sights set on exciting new opportunities that would allow me to level up in my career/my plans to become a star.”

“I created this concept to honor all of the colors I manifested with in the previous six months of the year and on my pointer finger I put the future nail colors I would use for the rest of the year (the red and yellow) to ‘point’ forward.”
