Sweden-based, Australian indie folk artist Hazlett has released his new single “i don’t want your garden” ahead of his forthcoming album last night you said you missed me, out 12 September via Nettwerk.
The new track explores the complexities of emotional distance and unresolved endings, continuing the introspective tone of previous singles mountain of a memory, blue jean, doing my best, and tell me something. Built on layered acoustic textures and restrained production, the single is the final preview of an album crafted around themes of self-preservation, longing, and quiet optimism.
Hazlett’s upcoming LP follows 2023’s Bloom Mountain and 2024’s Goodbye to the Valley Low, both of which earned praise for their confessional songwriting and warm folk arrangements. His music has accumulated over 450 million global streams, with more than 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Earlier this year, Hazlett played his biggest show to date—supporting Noah Kahan at BST Hyde Park in London. He returns to the UK this December with a full-band European tour, including dates in Manchester, Glasgow, and Dublin, closing with his largest UK solo headline show to date at Union Chapel, London.
