Olympic Snowboarder Chloe Kim Joins Batiste as Ambassador

Batiste’s hot streak of athlete ambassadorships continues.

The dry shampoo brand has tapped 25-year-old snowboarder Chloe Kim — who at 17 became the youngest woman to win an Olympic snowboarding title — as its newest face.

The appointment comes as Kim gears up to compete for Team USA in the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics, which will be held from Feb. 6 to 22 in Italy.

“It’s so important for us to have a complex woman representing Batiste, because that’s exactly who our consumer is,” said Caitlin Dodd, director of specialty hair care brands at parent company Church & Dwight.

“Dry shampoo is make-or-break for me,” said Kim, who is primarily based in Los Angeles though she routinely trains in Switzerland. “When I’m back home, my schedule is pretty hectic; I’ll pretty much cram everything into one outing — going to the gym, getting ready there for my day, running to meetings, lunch and everything else. Having Batiste’s travel-size options that just fit in my purse is always major.”

Kim, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, is the fourth Gen Z pro athlete with whom Batiste has joined forces, following deals with tennis player Alycia Parks; WNBA star Hailey Van Lith, and gymnast Suni Lee.

As she heads into her third Olympic Games, Kim is “most looking forward to experiencing it with a new level of appreciation,” she said, adding she’ll be lodging with family this time around rather than staying in the Olympic Village.

“During my first Games, I was 17, and everything was so big and overwhelming, and my second time, I felt a lot more pressure because I was defending my gold. Now that I’m 25 and going into my third Games, I look back and wish I appreciated those moments more rather than being so riled up by all the hype and excitement and not-knowing.”

After taking a mental health break from snowboarding during the 2022-23 season, Kim won the 2025 FIS Snowboard World Championship this past March, marking her third World Championship gold. As the Games near, the athlete is preparing for what could be her third consecutive Olympic gold, while making a conscious effort to stay grounded in her love of the sport.

“When things start to get overwhelming, I try to take a step back and go back to the basics. Trusting myself, reminding myself how lucky I am to be able to snowboard for fun, for a living — all of the above — and why I enjoy doing it to begin with,” Kim said. “I love traveling, I love pushing myself, and I love doing things I never thought I’d be able to do.”

Batiste, too, has maintained its rank as number one. It is the top-selling dry shampoo brand in both the U.S. and globally, a position it has kept even as competition in the category has ramped up as buzzy brands such as K18, Ouai and Olaplex have forayed into dry shampoo in recent years.

The brand sells one can of dry shampoo every 1.3 seconds, said Dodd, and its top seller remains the original Batiste Dry Shampoo, priced at roughly $12 for a full size and $6 for the mini version.

“Our core customer…spans between those Gen Z and Millennial generations; they’re busy with work, school, exercise and the social circuit, and do not have 60 minutes every day to wash and style their hair,” Dodd said, adding that Kim will front the brand on social media and in out of home campaigns and live consumer events. “She just does a great job of embodying relevancy and resonance with our consumers.”
