Fireworks must be purchased from a retailer who has been registered by the Department of Justice
With the deadline for fireworks licence applications in Northern Ireland ending on October 17, the Department of Justice are reminding the public to ensure they source their fireworks from a reputable supplier.
It’s mandatory in Northern Ireland to have a licence, even if you are just using fireworks for a small family celebration.
Fireworks must be purchased from a retailer who has been registered by the Department of Justice. Those bought from illegal sources may not be safe and may result in prosecution.
