Seperately, police have launched a muder investigation following an incident in Downpatrick which they believe is linked to a serious assault on a priest in the town on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to St Patrick’s Church following reports that the Parish priest, Fr John Murray, had been hit with a bottle while preparing to say Mass.
Police and the Ambulance Service were later called to a second incident at Marian Park in the town around midday, where a person was pronounced dead. A man in his 30s has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.
