Lisa McHugh and Richard Osman led this week’s Late Late Show line-up as the Co Fermanagh-based country singer joined host Patrick Kielty to discuss her recent diagnosis of Functional Neurological Disorder.

The mum-of-two shared what it was like to receive the diagnosis, how she took a break from music this summer to focus on her recovery and what’s next for her as she returns to the stage.

Bestselling author and television presenter Richard Osman was also in studio this week to chat to Patrick about his phenomenal success as a writer, including penning The Thursday Murder Club, which has recently been adapted into a Netflix movie.

Richard reflected on his career in quiz shows, meeting his future wife on the set of House of Games and the story of his near brush with MI6 during his university days.

Meanwhile Cork comedian Kyla Cobbler made her Late Late debut, sharing her journey from social media superstar to stand up sensation, talking about the joys and trials of touring, why doing a marathon was a huge mistake and how she met her fiancé while performing on stage.

Vittorio Angelone, the Northern Irish comedian making waves both in Ireland and the UK, chatted to Patrick about growing up in an Italian Irish family in Belfast, training as a classical musician and carving out his place in the comedy scene.

The cast of Moulin Rouge were also in studio to give audiences as sneak peak of what to expect as they bring the show to Dublin next month.

Plus, it’s the Late Late Toy Show Big Big Ticket Giveaway day. Viewers at home discovered live on air that they’ve nabbed themselves the last tickets to this year’s Late Late Toy Show and will be seated in the live studio audience on Friday, 5 December.
