Emmerdale’s Kelly Windsor ‘set for dramatic return’ and it’s bad news for Jimmy

Emmerdale’s Kelly Windsor could be returning to the Dales after 14 years.

Emmerdale fans believe that Kelly Windsor is set for a dramatic return, and it’s bad news for Jimmy King.

Adele Silva first joined the ITV soap as Kelly back in 1993, where she was introduced as the half-sister of Donna Windsor (Verity Rushworth), who tragically died in 2014.

Kelly had a brief romance with Roy Glover (Nicky Evans), before falling for her teacher Tom Bainbridge (Jeremy Turner-Welch).

After she caught Tom cheating, Kelly had several one-night stands, including with Biff Fowler (Stuart Wade) and Chris Tate (Peter Amory).

She later found out she was pregnant and told Chris that he was the father. However, Kelly ended up miscarrying after she fell down the stairs during a heated argument with Kim Tate (Claire King).

Following a failed marriage to Roy, Kelly began a relationship with Jimmy King (Nick Miles), with the pair getting engaged.

Sadly the romance didn’t last long as Kelly left the village once Jimmy found out about her secret abortion.

In 2011, Kelly returned to the Dales with her young son, Elliot (Luca Hoyle), who turned out to be Jimmy’s offspring.

Elliot lived with Jimmy for a short while in 2012, before returning to his mum. However, she unexpectedly sent him back to the village in 2016, where he has stayed ever since.

Now, several Emmerdale fans are convinced that Kelly could make a dramatic return to the village, which could cause problems for Jimmy and his family.

“I’d love to see Kelly Windsor return for a short stint, especially if it ties into a major storyline for Elliot. Elliot deserves more screen time – it’s long overdue,” one person wrote on Reddit.

Another added: “I’ve been thinking the same thing for quite some time. A Kelly return would be so good.”

A third said: “Oo yes I could totally see Kelly coming back and maybe even trying to take Elliot back from Jimmy.”

A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: “We barely see Jimmy anymore so Kelly coming back would be great to bring him into a central storyline.”
