ITV Emmerdale Celia Daniels’ love interest ‘unveiled’ as fans say ‘that’s a great twist’

Emmerdale viewers are convinced they know who Celia Daniels’ love interest will be and it’s not looking good for Bob Hope

Emmerdale fans believe they’ve sussed out the love interest of Celia Daniels and it’s not Bob Hope.

In recent episodes of the ITV soap, Bob (played by Tony Audenshaw) took a risk and tried to charm the new arrival, Celia (Jaye Griffiths).

However, she dismissed his flirtatious comments and innuendos about Belgian buns, making it clear she wasn’t interested.

During Monday’s episode (October 6), Celia offered some advice regarding his granddaughter April Windsor (portrayed by Amelia Flanagan), who has been secretly dealing drugs for her.

Celia proposed to buy Bob a coffee, which he interpreted as a sign that she might be interested in him after all, but he misunderstood the situation, reports the Daily Star.

Despite Bob’s attempts to win over Celia, fans are convinced that Mary Goskirk (played by Louisa Jameson) could be the one to catch Celia’s eye.

On an Emmerdale Facebook group, one fan wrote: “I think Mary is going to fancy Celia and then go on a date and bring her to meet Rhona and April will be horrified.”

Another person replied: “That would be very interesting although I’d love Mary to be happy in love and really doubt it could happen with Celia.”

A third commented: “That’s a great twist.” A fourth concurred: “That’s interesting.”

Mary openly revealed her lifelong secret to Kim Tate (played by Clare King) in 2023, after hiding her true identity.

Her past involved a significant, unrecognised romantic relationship with a woman named Louise, who was her “dead friend”.

Mary harboured romantic feelings for her friend Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough), but Suzy chose to reignite her relationship with Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) instead, resulting in heartbreak for Mary and a love triangle.

Mary is the mother of April’s stepmother Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), so if she does ignite a romance with Celia, things will certainly become complicated.

After agreeing to move out following a drug incident that also resulted in her brother Leo’s death, April accepted a room offered by drug dealer Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).

Bob was alarmed to see April at the bus stop with a packed bag and insisted she move into the B&B with him.

As Rhona and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) fretted they’d been too severe with April, Bob disclosed that the young girl has moved into the B&B with him.
