Northern Ireland weather forecast for the week ahead after wind warning

A yellow alert issued by the Met Office due to Storm Floris was in place on Monday

Brighter spells are forecast across Northern Ireland on Tuesday.

It comes after a yellow weather warning for wind due to Storm Floris began at 6am on August 4, and remained in place until 11.59pm.

For Tuesday’s forecast, August 5, the Met Office said: “Fresh west to northwest winds bringing showers and brighter spells across the country, with outbreaks more frequent during the morning. Maximum temperature 20C.”

And for the forecast for Wednesday, August 6, to Friday, August 8, the forecaster added: “Wednesday largely dry with best of sunshine and temperatures in east.

“Showers and brighter spells brought on brisk southwest winds for Thursday. Showers or longer periods of rain for Friday.”

Minimum temperature: 11C

Wednesday, August 6

Maximum temperature: 20C

Minimum temperature: 14C

Thursday, August 7

Maximum temperature: 20C

Saturday, August 9

Maximum temperature: 20C

Minimum temperature: 13C

Sunday, August 10

Maximum temperature: 20C
