A Ryanair passenger and his pal were left raging when they couldn’t access one thing on their £16.99 flight – but someone joked they were lucky to have a seatbelt
Many Brits are big fans of Ryanair flights as they’re cheap and cheerful, as well as get you from A to B, usually bang on time. But when one man, who regularly jets off to Benidorm, flew with Ryanair, he was left “fuming” because the incredibly cheap £16.99 flight didn’t include one thing.
Graham White shared videos of his antics at the popular Spanish seaside resort with his 75,000 TikTok followers. But the 48-year-old was left gutted when boarding his most recent flight to Alicante. On July 25, he flew on his incredibly cheap ticket, but he and his friend were left fuming the £16.99 ticket didn’t include WiFi access.
He shared: “My mate thought WiFi was included. My mate couldn’t believe [that it wasn’t]. I even asked [the flight attendant] if the pilot would let him use his hotspot.”
In a clip, which racked up 1,800 views so far, Graham himself asked the flight attendant why the internet wasn’t working – but people on the flight were left baffled as to why he even asked the question.
The cabin crew member explained they “don’t have it at all,” and somebody in the background quipped: “You’re lucky you have a seatbelt; you’re on Ryanair.”
“No WiFi, but their card machines work to sell you things,” someone fumed in the comments section.
But others were lost for words and left crying with laughter emojis, wondering why anyone would expect WiFi on Ryanair flights, when it’s not standard on short haul.
On Ryanair’s website, information about in-flight WiFi states: “No. Currently, we do not offer Wi-Fi on our flights. Sorry.”
Graham has previously gone viral for his antics in Benidorm, including highlighting a place where a pint costs less than a cup of tea.
He’s not the only person posting content from Benidorm, warning Brits about the potential downsides of it.
Harry, who posts as @harrytokky, shared building an innocent sandcastle could land you with a hefty fine. Yes, you didn’t read that wrong – you could get fined for making a simple sandcastle.
Building a sandcastle could leave you out of pocket to the tune of a whopping £87 (€100), so you may want to think twice before doing the innocent childhood activity.
In a recent video, Harry Poulton shared the holiday spot is virtually empty because tourists are being “priced out” of the resort.
He referred to it was the “weirdest thing you can get fined for in Spain,” sharing you “probably didn’t even know you could get a penalised for it” because it’s so bizarre.
His friend, Louis Grier, guessed it was public indecency he was speaking about, but it was just building sandcastles, which he said was “mad”.
“Supposedly, you could be obstructing walkways,” he fumed, ending the video by saying it’s “a bit bizarre”.
