A man from Northern Ireland has been sentenced in relation to drugs related offences after a parcel was intercepted by police.
Christopher Johnston, 32, was sentenced on Friday, August 29, to a total of six years, with half to be served in custody and half on license.
Police said a parcel addressed to Mr Johnston’s house was intercepted by An Garda SÃochána and contained cocaine.

Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland carried out follow up searches of the property in Dundonald and seized a quantity of cannabis and other drug paraphernalia.
PSNI Detective Inspector Maguire said: “The Police Service of Northern Ireland remains committed to robustly and proactively pursuing those involved in drug supply, at all levels, arresting them and bring them before the courts.
“If anyone has information about suspected drug dealing in their area please call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively information can be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
