Katherine’s younger sister, Gracie Kelly, also pursued acting. Gracie has appeared in productions such as Anne, Love, Lies and Records, and To Walk Invisible: The Bronte Sisters.
Their father John founded The Lamproom Theatre in Barnsley in 1998, with Katherine regularly supporting fundraising events at the venue over the years.
The actress honed her craft at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 2001. She studied alongside notable actors like Anna Hope, Meredith MacNeill and Elliot Cowan.
