Tree Removed From Belfast Property After Falling Down During Storm Floris
Residents at a property in North Belfast were evacuated after a tree fell on their house.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended a house on Ashgrove Park in the Oldpark area at 9.21am on Monday morning, August 4, following reports of a fallen tree.
One appliance from Westland Fire Station, one appliance from Whitla Fire Station, and a Specialist Rescue Team from Central Fire Station attended the incident. They left the scene at 10.20am.

It’s understood the fallen tree caused damage to the property’s side porch and roof.
In a statement, an NIFRS spokesperson added: “Firefighters were called to reports of a fallen tree at a residential property at Ashgrove Park, Oldpark, Belfast. Firefighters safely relocated two residents and handed the scene over to the Belfast City Council. Firefighters left the scene at 10.20am.”
The incident took place amid a yellow weather warning in place across Northern Ireland due to Storm Floris, which began at 6am on August 4, and will remain in place until 11.59pm tonight.
A number of closures across the region have been announced due to the storm, with a number of flights to and from Belfast City Airport also being cancelled.
