PSNI ‘increasingly concerned’ for the welfare of missing man last seen in Belfast

Police have issued an appeal as they become “increasingly concerned for the welfare” of a missing person.

Officers made an appeal on Sunday asking the public to help locate Frantisek Mechir, who was last seen in North Belfast this afternoon.

The 31-year-old is said to be last seen wearing a grey jumper and bottoms and carrying a rucksack.

In a post by Police West Belfast on Facebook, they described Frantisek, who also goes by Ferko, as being “high risk”.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: “Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of missing person, 31-year-old Frantisek Mechir.

“Frantisek was last seen in the Deerpark Gardens area of north Belfast at approximately 3pm this afternoon, Sunday 19th October.

“He is approximately 5’10” and of slim build with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a grey jumper and bottoms, trainers, and was carrying a rucksack on his back.

“If you have any information in relation to his whereabouts or you believe you may have seen him, please contact police on 101 quoting reference number 856 19/10/25.”
