Linda Robson has been a regular fixture on our screens for decades, but there is one celebrity that she is yet to meet – and one of her Loose Women co-stars has vowed to make it happen

Linda Robson has revealed how one of her closest Loose Women friends has promised to help her meet one of her celebrity heroes before she passes away.

The actress first appeared as a guest panellist on Loose Women in 2003, before becoming a permanent fixture on the popular daytime show in 2012, remaining a key part of the programme ever since.

While discussing a story from her latest memoir, Truth Be Told: Tales from a Baggy Mouth, she shared the moment she awoke recalling a rather unusual dream involving Sir Elton John.

Speaking on The Lewis Nicholls Show podcast, she explained: “I woke up the next morning and thought, ‘Oh my God! I’ve had sex with Elton John on the Eurostar.’ I thought, ‘My husband’s going to kill me if he finds out.’ It was really real, honestly — I swear to God I’d never had a dream like that before.”

Continuing her tale, she revealed that she managed to pass a letter to Elton through a mutual friend, describing their imaginary romantic encounter.

She recalled how the music legend responded with good humour to her letter, noting that he replied, saying they “made so much noise they chucked us off.”

She also mentioned that, while she’s never actually met him face-to-face, one of her Loose Women co-stars has pledged to arrange an introduction, revealing: “Janet (Street-Porter) says before I die, she’s going to take me to meet him.”

She added that her co-star had gone a step further, revealing: “Janet Street-Porter bought me a Dolce & Gabbana bag that Elton John had bought her in the south of France years ago.”

In jest, she continued: “So basically, Elton John bought me a designer bag.”

Beyond offering a glimpse into her bond with Janet Street-Porter, Linda began her acting journey in the 1970s, appearing in numerous dramas and sitcoms, though she is likely best known for her role alongside Pauline Quirke in Birds of a Feather during the 1990s.

In other news, Linda is set to return to our screens this evening. Having previously tried her luck on The Weakest Link in 2022, she’ll be aiming to surpass her earlier performance as she makes her second appearance on the programme.

She is preparing to compete against an array of famous faces, including Danny John-Jules, Helen Flanagan, and Tim Vine, with Romesh Ranganathan presenting the show.

The Weakest Link is set to return to our screens this evening (18 October) at 8.35 p.m. on BBC One.
