It was a star-studded line-up again tonight on the Late Late Show with David Walliams, Baz Ashmawy and more joining presenter Patrick Kielty in studio.
Author and comedian David was the first person to be interviewed by Patrick, and the pair had a hilarious back and forth as they threw joking insults at one another and reflected on previous times they have met.
Baz Ashmawy joined the pair, leading to further funny moments as they all chatted about their age, seeing Oasis – and why Patrick doesn’t seem to know any famous people.

During the interview, David joked that as a chat show host, he would have expected Patrick to have met more celebrities when Patrick admitted he had never met Elton John or Oasis.
Firing back at him, he went on to mention that Baz was an Emmy winner while simply naming David as an author as he went to wrap up for a break. However, David wasn’t happy with that and when he told Patrick he was actually the recipient of two Emmys, he added an explicit finger gesture that Patrick looked none too happy about.
“Two international Emmys!” David exclaimed as he gave Patrick the middle finger.
“Fairly awkward ending to that segment of the #latelate,” one viewer pointed out on X.
Another said: “Ooh Patrick is not happy with Walliams right now. Don’t blame him either.”
“Was there any reason for that segment to be so awkward?” a third said.
Patrick did laugh about the moment when the show returned after the break, as he made a point to ask David: “How many Emmys do you have again?”
“Two,” David replied sheepishly.
It comes as during his interview, Baz Ashmawy spoke about an awkward moment in which he ran into a fan at an Oasis concert – who asked him to take a photo with the ashes of her late son.
“A gorgeous woman came up to me and she said, oh my God Baz, me and my son love you,” Baz recalled. “I said, oh thanks so much, that’s great. And she went, ‘but he died’.”
After giving her his condolences, the woman then asked if Baz would take a photo with her son. After a moment of confusion, she then revealed she had his ashes in her bag to spread at the concert because he was also an Oasis fan.
“She was the loveliest woman I’ve ever met,” he added. “But it was the maddest experience.”
