Bangor host the Reds at Clandeboye Park as the Seasiders make their return to the topflight
The new Irish Premiership season is underway and the first live game takes place this afternoon as Bangor host Cliftonville at Clandeboye Park.
Lee Feeney has guided the Seasiders from the Premier Intermediate League back into the topflight for the first time since 2009.
They proved with their Irish Cup run last season that they are more than capable of taking the scalp of one of the big names and will be hoping to kick-off the new season with a positive result.
It’s been another mixed pre-season for the Reds as they crashed out of Europe in the first round and have had to deal with the loss of more star players including Shea Kearney, who has moved to Dunfermline.
Jim Magilton has recruited several quality players including Rhyss Campbell from Coleraine as he prepares for a tricky opening fixture.
