Police are appealing for information following the collision on Antrim Road
A child has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in North Belfast.
The emergency services were called to a collision on Antrim Road at around 8am on Wednesday, September 10, following reports of a child being hit by a car.
It was reported that a young boy was involved in a collision with a Toyota Auris close to a school in the area.

The boy has since been taken to hospital with injuries that police say are “not believed to be life threatening.”
The driver of teh vehicle was spoken to by officers following the incident.
Police are now asking anyone with any information regarding the collision, including dashcam footage, to contact them.
Inspector McAnallen said: “Shortly before 8am, it was reported that a young boy and a silver coloured Toyota Auris were involved in the collision close to a school in the area. The boy was taken to hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. The driver of the vehicle was spoken to in relation to the incident.
“Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage available to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 216 10/09/25.”
