St John’s Ambulance Northern Ireland has confirmed that they had no association with or involvement in providing medical cover at the Emerge Festival, where a teenage girl died after being taken to hospital.

A woman in her 30s remains in a serious but stable condition, and a teenage boy received treatment after also feeling unwell at the event.

In a statement posted on social media, St John’s Ambulance NI distanced itself from the event and offered its condolences to the deceased’s friends and family.

“The management and volunteers of St John Ambulance NI were deeply saddened to hear of the death of a young female and of two other persons taking ill at a concert in Belfast on Sunday 24th August 2025,” they said.

“St John Ambulance extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased female

“St John Ambulance has no further comments to make on this statement of sympathy and clarification.”

It is understood that medical cover at the festival was provided by a Belfast-based event medical company, who have been contacted for comment.
