EastEnders viewers were left in disbelief after three characters made their return to the Square, as two huge secrets were finally revealed
It was mayhem in Walford during the latest episode as three familiar faces returned to EastEnders whilst two bombshell secrets were finally exposed.
Following the earlier announcement of his comeback, Anthony Trueman arrived back on the Square for Patrick and Yolande’s nuptials, though he was subsequently stunned to discover his father had suffered an assault.
During last Thursday’s episode, a drunken Oscar admitted to Jack that he was responsible for attacking Patrick, before informing the Truemans that the case had been shelved.
Nevertheless, Jack couldn’t keep this revelation from his other half Denise, as he spilled everything.
Following her reprimand of Oscar, Denise suggested she “could let sleeping dogs lie,” yet the remorse proved overwhelming for Oscar, who came clean to Patrick during the episode’s conclusion, reports the Mirror. But what will his reaction be?

This wasn’t the only major disclosure, as Tommy eventually discovered Alfie had been deceiving Kat throughout, after overhearing Alfie’s intoxicated voicemail on Kat’s mobile.
This occurred after Harry had tasked Joel with clearing stolen phones, including Kat’s device amongst the batch as viewers will recall her phone being grabbed outside the Queen Vic several weeks earlier.
Viewers witnessed Alfie recording the voicemail from Barcelona, admitting to Kat that Zoe was staying in Stacey’s flat in London – and that he had travelled to Barcelona attempting to assist her and bring her home to Walford.
Tommy was left absolutely livid with “lying coward” Alfie – but will he expose everything to Kat?
As if there wasn’t enough drama, Lily Slater also made her comeback to the Square after staying with her biological father Ryan following Martin’s death. In another part of town, Johnny Carter returned after embarking on a cruise with his mum Linda post selling the Vic.
Johnny came back early for work, while Linda and the kids were still enjoying their time in Mexico.
Of course, the return of Lily and Johnny was not without its share of drama, as Lily disclosed that Tommy’s secret account had been liking troll comments aimed at Stacey after Joel leaked her SecretCam pictures online.
Tommy later confessed to Kat and Alfie, calling Stacey an “embarrassment” and affirming all the comments on the posts were true – he then launched into a vile rant, seemingly influenced by his mate Joel’s misogynistic views.
The scene then shifted to the Albert, where Billy, Lexi and Callum were having some drinks, but the atmosphere was far from light-hearted. Lexi was seen storming off, and when Callum queried Billy about it, Billy didn’t hold back.
“Maybe she’s clocked you eyeing up Dale Winton over there,” he said, referring to Johnny. “Like everyone else in this bar has.”
As Johnny made his way back to the Square, the pair agreed to maintain their distance from each other, but will they manage to keep their word?
And with Ben Mitchell confirmed to be returning soon, how will things unfold?
