Coronation Street is set to see a double tragedy next week on the cobbles
Coronation Street is set for a week of high drama according to new spoilers.
In the forthcoming episodes, as Aadi Alahan prepares to leave the cobbles for India, his father Dev Alahan and Steve McDonald try to play matchmaker by reuniting him with Steve’s daughter Amy Barlow, in hopes it will convince him to stay in Weatherfield.
However, it soon transpires that Aadi and Amy decide to remain friends and Aadi confesses he is excited about his new life in India.
This revelation leaves both Dev and Aadi’s twin sister Asha Alahan emotional, leading to Asha fleeing the pub in tears, where she suffers a panic attack after a stressful day at work.
Later, Asha records a voice note for Aadi expressing how much she’ll miss him, her fears about coping without him and pleading with him not to leave. As she hesitates over the “send” button, she breaks down in tears… but will she send it?, reports Leicestershire Live.
As the week unfolds, a despondent Asha struggles with her day knowing her brother is about to embark on a new life thousands of miles away.
After bidding her farewells, she embarks on her paramedic shift with Sienna but the day takes a dark turn when she is called to a car accident and recognises the vehicle as Aadi’s, raising questions about what has happened and whether Aadi is safe.
This comes after actor Adam Hussain confirmed his departure from the ITV soap earlier this year, after five years of portraying Aadi.
Meanwhile, as a potential tragic ending for Aadi looms, another death is confirmed on the cobbles. In forthcoming scenes, Jenny Connor fears that George Shuttleworth is being overly trusting with the women he meets online.
Her concerns are validated when Daisy Midgeley’s scheming mother, Christina Boyd, turns up at the pub in search of George.
Christina soon discloses that her former flame Dom has passed away and her encounter with George is strictly professional. However, Jenny complains to Glenda and Brian, convinced that Christina has set her sights on George and is up to no good.
Later in the week, Jenny is convinced that Christina is catfishing George and lying about Dom’s demise. Consequently, Jenny storms into the undertakers and informs George that Christina is only interested in his money and Dom isn’t dead at all.
To Christina’s dismay, Jenny tears the lid off Dom’s coffin… but what will she discover?
