Singer Jess Glynne has shared a supportive message for girlfriend Alex Scott after the footballer became the first celebrity eliminated from I’m A Celebrity and is flying home early.
Jess Glynne has penned a heartfelt message for her girlfriend Alex Scott, as the football pundit announced she’s heading back home after her early exit from I’m A Celebrity.
The Lioness, 41, was the first celebrity to be voted off the show this week and revealed she won’t be staying in Australia until the end of the series, choosing instead to return to her partner’s side following her mum’s stroke.
Typically, evicted celebrities remain at the hotel until the ITV final, but Alex expressed her desire to return to Jess, stating she wants “to go home and be her rock”.
Meanwhile, Jess has continued to express her support for Alex – last night, she shared her excitement for her partner’s imminent return.
She posted on social media: “Forever a winner! She walked in that jungle and was nothing but herself from start to finish.

“We see you, we saw you and we love you! I can’t wait to have you home my woman.”
In her Instagram post, Jess was pictured wearing a green T-shirt emblazoned with a photo of Alex and the slogan ‘Alex for the win!’
The singer also shared a video of her and some friends donning matching t-shirts in support of Alex, reports the Mirror.
Following Alex’s elimination, Jess voiced her belief that her partner didn’t receive enough screen time on the show.
Jess wrote: “My woman might be out far earlier than she ever deserved, but I’m so unbelievably proud of her. She didn’t get the airtime to show how incredible she really is, and trust me, this is only the beginning.”
Jess also explained why she couldn’t meet Alex on the I’m A Celeb bridge, revealing her mother recently suffered a “major stroke and underwent brain surgery.”
She wrote: “I know people will wonder why I wasn’t there at the end of the bridge, so I wanted to share something personal.
“Over the last few weeks my mum suffered a major stroke and needed urgent brain surgery. It’s been really serious, life-altering time for my family and I’ve had to stay close to home.”
She added: “I can’t wait to have her back by my side.”
Alex said she nearly withdrew from the programme due to the difficult circumstances at home – but Jess insisted she should travel to Australia and compete.
