Road policing interceptors seized the vehicle in Omagh, Co Tyrone on Saturday
A vehicle that had no MOT and has had no tax since 2022 was seized on Saturday night after police observed it on Dromore Road in Omagh, Co Tyrone.
Road policing interceptors from Omagh then discovered the driver of the vehicle was disqualified from driving. The vehicle was also uninsured and many defects were noted by officers who found the car to be in a dangerous condition.
The driver was arrested and their vehicle was seized. The driver was later charged to court for numerous offences.

A police spokesman said the message was clear and urged the public not to drive whilst disqualified. They said that driving with no insurance means you risk losing your car.
The spokesman added that temporary MOT exemptions only apply if the vehicle is maintained and roadworthy. It is not an excuse for driving an unsafe vehicle.
