An I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! legend has issued a stark warning to the 2025 campmates as the new series is set to kick off this weekend

Peter Andre has delivered a stark warning to the cast of I’m A Celebrity 2025. The new series of the cherished reality programme is nearly upon us, with a fresh group of celebrities prepared to enter the Australian jungle and face Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s bushtucker trials.

Stars including Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, Loose Women’s Kelly Brook, Martin Kemp and Eddie Kadi, Alex Scott, Shona McGarty and Jack Osbourne are participating this year, ITV has announced.

It’s already being described as the “toughest” year to date, and the celebrities will probably be bracing themselves for the starvation they’re about to endure on a menu of rice and beans unless they secure meals.

And now, Mysterious Girl vocalist Peter has offered some guidance. The 52-year-old featured on the programme in 2004 alongside Katie Price, which ignited their relationship. They subsequently wed in 2005 and had two children together before their split in 2009, reports the Express.

Looking back on his stint on the show during an interview on Good Morning Britain, Peter said: “There’s only probably about 300 or 400 people in the world who have experienced this, it’s an incredible experience.

“There’s certain smells and sounds you only know if you’ve experienced it, hunger is one of those things that I had never experienced before.

“And for anyone that hasn’t experienced it, you genuinely get it there, it’s the real deal.”

He added: “If people have done the dreaded thing which I always tell them never to do, it’s to keep eating so much before you go in.

“Because you think, ‘I’m not going to eat so I may as well stock up,’ but the problem is then your body goes into shock. So it’s actually better to get your body used to it.”

Peter went on: “There’s a lot of downtime, a lot of time you’re on your own, and even though there’s cameras everywhere, you can’t see them.

“They’re hidden and camouflaged, only when they come to do the trials, and they’re all camouflage, the cameramen, you can’t talk to them, they won’t answer you, can’t ask the time, nothing. It’s a really good show.”

This comes after I’m A Celebrity bosses insisted this will be the “toughest” year yet, with executive producer Olly Nash telling The Daily Mail: “It’s a tough and gruelling show, and there’s nothing wrong with driving that home.

“We need to see more celebrities earning their keep, that’s the most important thing. We have more celebrities taking part in the trials than we ever have before, so it’s more of a competition.

“Last year, we had a great positive happy cast that all joined together and had a happy time. This year they are going to have to fight more, earn more and play a bigger part in camp.”

Meanwhile, the programme has undergone another shake-up this year to ensure the contestants don’t face repeated Bushtucker Trials, as a new rule states they can only do two challenges in a row and can’t be voted in for a third.

A source said: “This is a great move for fans of the show so we don’t see the same faces doing the trials, as well as uncovering new favourites. Plus it’s a win-win for the celebs too, who are keen for more chances to get their personalities across.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Starts on Sunday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
