by wellnessfitpro

Bungalow Collect has released their latest project, a seven-track EP titled ‘Disco Rap Saved Me Again’. The release continues the group’s exploration of Disco Rap, a style that blends elements of disco, funk, and hip-hop, and demonstrates the band’s ongoing commitment to creating danceable, genre-blurring music.

The EP, which runs just over twenty minutes, features a mix of styles within the disco spectrum, from funky grooves to R&B-tinged tracks and vocoded anthems reminiscent of Daft Punk. Bringing a radiant danceable accessibility and moments which lean into classic Hip-Hop, the release showcases the quartet’s radiant potential. From the previously released singles ‘It Takes 2’ and ‘Show You Some Things’, Which showcase their blend of hip-hop, funk and Daft Punk style pop vibes, the EP also widens out the band’s approach with the hip-hop feel of ‘Stay All Night’ and ‘What It Feels Like’.

Bungalow Collect formed in 2021 after members Rshad and Marcus moved into a Brooklyn apartment known as ‘The Bungalow’. Childhood friends Apollo J and Zay Suav later joined the group, contributing to the collective’s sound and creative direction. Since their formation, the group has toured across the United States, performing at festivals including So What! and SXSW. Their single ‘Tell Me Where To Go’ achieved viral status, garnering over 13 million views and 15 million streams worldwide.

The new EP solidifies the band’s place as one to watch, highlighting not only the brilliant of their musicality but also their potential for the future.
