PSNI receive report of ‘serious sexual assault’ in South Belfast

A man who was arrested has since been released on bail

Police have received a report of a “serious sexual assault” in South Belfast.

On Thursday, October 23, an incident in the Sandhurst Drive area of Stranmillis was reported to police. A 26-year-old man was arrested.

He has since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries following the incident.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police in south Belfast received a report of a serious sexual assault on Thursday, 23rd October in the Sandhurst Drive area of the city.

“A 26-year-old man was arrested and has subsequently been released on bail pending further enquiries.”
