New CCTV footage from the night before the 14-year-old’s disappearance in 2020 has been released

Footage of last known moments of Noah Donohoe’s life released
Noah Donohoe’s mum has questioned the timing of releasing CCTV from the night before her son’s disappearance – five years later.
Fiona Donohoe took to social media on Friday afternoon, October 17, after the Coroner issued a public appeal for information and CCTV showing Noah leaving his house the night before he went missing.
The footage shows Noah leaving his home on Fitzroy Avenue at approximately 3.34am on Sunday, June 21, 2020, before returning at 4.08am. At 5.40pm on June 21, the 14-year-old left his home, travelling by bicycle through Belfast city centre, when at 6.08pm that same evening, Noah was captured on CCTV from Northwood Drive, Belfast. That is the last known time Noah was seen alive.

Following the publication of CCTV footage from the early hours before Noah’s disappearance, Fiona said: “As you can imagine this is beyond difficult but it needs to be shared. 5 years later!!!!!!!!!
“WHY WAS IT NOT RELEASED THE WEEK NOAH WAS MISSING!!!!?!!???? And the fact I was only made aware of this two years after Noah’s death. I would ask people to remember behind every suspicious death of a beloved child is a broken hearted mother!!!”
The newly released CCTV from Noah’s address shows his departure and return. When he left at around 3.34am, Noah was casually dressed in dark coloured knee length shorts and a white T-shirt.
He was wearing flip-flops and carrying over-ear headphones in his right hand. On leaving the address Noah appears to turn right, walking west in the direction ofQueen’s University.
When he is next captured on CCTV, on his return home, Noah was on University Street, coming from the direction of Ormeau Road and walking in the direction of Queen’s University. From there, he turned left on to Dudley Street and then right onto Fitzroy Avenue, turning immediately into his home address.
Noah re-entered through the front door at approximately 04.08am. It is apparent from CCTV footage that he was barefoot on his return, and neither his flip-flops nor his headphones are visible on his person.
The Presiding Coroner, Mr Justice Rooney, is investigating the death of Noah Donohoe. The Coroner requests that any person with any information about:
- Why Noah left home that night;
- Where he went;
- Whether he met anyone;
- What happened to his flip-flops and/or his headphones; and
- Noah having been out in the early hours of the morning on any other occasion.
