Emmerdale has returned to the tragic passing of Liv Dingle as Aaron Dingle commemorates three years since her demise on screen.
Loyal viewers of the ITV drama will recall Liv as Aaron’s (Danny Miller) beloved younger sibling, who, alongside former spouse Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), created a close-knit family during their union.
Liv had also wed Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), with her additional plotlines featuring struggles with alcohol dependency and unlawful behaviour.
In 2022, disaster struck during the programme’s golden anniversary episode when a devastating storm sent a caravan crashing down onto Liv, resulting in her death.
In Wednesday’s (October 15) instalment, Aaron and Robert had enjoyed their first evening reunited, though Aaron seemed preoccupied with something, reports the Daily Star.

The pair discussed revealing to the village that they were an item again before Robert discovered a teddy bear in Aaron’s lounge.
“It’s Liv’s, well it was”, Aaron confirmed, “She would never sleep without it.”
Aaron then revealed that Liv’s death anniversary falls on Thursday, prompting Robert to propose they share a drink to honour the sombre occasion.
Performer Isobel Steele portrayed the character of Liv Dingle but departed the Dales in 2022, following a six-year tenure on the programme.
Looking back on her exit, she expressed her emotional thoughts at the time: “And that’s a wrap on Liv Dingle. Hard to put into words what this show and the people in it mean to me and how big a decision it was to leave.
“Thank you to every single person I ever worked with and to those that pushed me to be a better person and a better actor.
“Thank you to everyone who watches the show and has supported me throughout, none of it went unnoticed. Thank you to Kate Oates, Ian MacLeod and Jane Hudson.”
She concluded her heartfelt message by saying farewell to this phase of her career, adding: “I love you all so much, you know who you are. The most bizarre and wonderful place to have grown up. I’m gonna miss it so much. On to the next! X.”
Now, at just 24 years old, Isobel has launched into a new adventure within the music world.
Earlier this year, she debuted a chic new look, swapping her flowing lengthy tresses for a cropped style complete with a fashionable fringe.
Based on her Instagram profile, the Manchester-born star still identifies as an actress but seems to be concentrating on developing her musical abilities in London.
Serving as frontwoman for her band Little Dog Star, she has produced several mesmerising tracks alongside their music videos, available for listening on Spotify.
