GB News star Eamonn Holmes has been inundated with support as he shared a heartfelt post on social media.
This week, Eamonn Holmes opened up on the impact of his parents’ death as the GB News star uploaded a photo of them both on Instagram.
The former ITV presenter, who recently issued an update on his health, shared a black and white photo of his mum and dad smiling to the camera.
His mum, Josie, has her arms crossed, beaming next to her husband with her hair pinned back while wearing a pearl necklace.
Meanwhile, Eamonn’s dad Leonard has his hair slicked back in a shirt and smart tie. He captioned the post: “Who do u think I look more like – my Mum or my Dad? Josie or Leonard?
“Although they have both passed away, I hear each of them in my head every day.

“I know what they would think and how they would advise me. When they would agree with me and when they wouldn’t. Laughter was a big part of all of our lives because of them. What a void they have left.”
It wasn’t long before people commented on the post, with many highlighting how much Eamonn looks like his late mum.
One person said: “Mum without a doubt.” Another wrote: “You very much look like your mum. That’s such a beautiful photo too.”
Someone else commented: “Your mum, it’s awful feeling it never goes away the missing.” While another follower shared: “Beautiful couple. You look like your mummy, what a stunner she was.”
One fan added: “Gorgeous looking parents. Your mum is stunning. You look like your lovely mum.”
His heartfelt post comes after Eamonn paid tribute to two famous faces who have recently died, broadcaster John Stapleton and world-renowned primatologist Jane Goodall.
Eamonn, who attended John’s funeral last week, shared an image of the funeral programme in which he praised John’s son, Nick.
He wrote: “Just back from John’s funeral service. It was also a celebration of Lynn’s life who died during coronavirus>Covid restrictions.
“A loving, respectful send off, a few tears, a lot of laughs and a lot of friends. Admiration for their Son Nick and the family dog who was there too. Bye John – It was a heck of a life mate.”
Eamonn is available to watch on his GB News breakfast show from 6am.
