Coleraine fire: Six appliances and 51 firefighters tackle ‘agricultural fire’ in Co Antrim

Residents have been told to keep their windows closed

More than 50 firefighters are in attendance tonight at a significant blaze in the Coleraine area of Co Antrim.

The alarm was raised at around 8pm when a fire was reported at an agricultural site on the Kilmaconnell Road in the locality.

No injuries have been reported at this time with some restrictions reported in the area.

A statement at 10.40pm on Wednesday October 7 from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said: “Following an initial call at 2000hrs on Tuesday October 7 2025, Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance at an agricultural fire at Kilmaconnell Road, Coleraine.

“Six fire appliances and 51 firefighters are in attendance supported by a Command Support Unit and other specialist vehicles. Members of the public are asked to please avoid the area help support firefighting operations. Local residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed.”
