Loose Women stars Kaye Adams, Coleen Nolan, Mariella Frostrup, and Jane Moore were left divided during Wednesday’s episode of the daytime chat show
Tensions escalated on Loose Women during Wednesday’s (October 1) episode as the four panellists debated the latest political developments.
After Keir Starmer’s address at the Labour Party conference on Tuesday (September 30), there was considerable material to discuss, with host Kaye Adams launching the conversation.
She approached her fellow panellists, Coleen Nolan, Mariella Frostrup and Jane Moore, seeking their views on Keir’s repeated references to Nigel Farage and Reform UK.
Kaye and Mariella swiftly found themselves locked in a passionate exchange, with Mariella demanding that Kaye allow her to finish, while the presenter tried to present recent polling data.
“I think what the country really needs is a big, optimistic, bold view of what the future looks like, that we can all get on board with,” Mariella declared.

“Constantly playing tit-for-tat with someone whose agenda has already destabilised the country, some of us, who didn’t support Brexit, would say. And now…,” she continued, as Kaye tried to cut in.
Mariella pressed on: “And now, they’re doing the same thing again and allowing Nigel Farage to take up all the oxygen. It’s not to say people shouldn’t support him if they want to, but he isn’t held to the same account as other politicians.”
Kaye tried to break in by asking whether Mariella had “seen the polls”, which she ultimately acknowledged she had, reports the Express.
Kaye countered: “But it’s not just Nigel Farage. Nigel Farage represents a huge chunk of people.”
The two Loose Women panellists found themselves talking over each other, with Coleen humorously telling the audience: “I feel like I’m in between them!” referring to Keir and Nigel.
Mariella countered, “I’m saying it’s because he’s been given a completely free ride and a popular platform and Keir Starmer is engaging with him,” with Kaye questioning: “So, are you going to just ignore these people?”
Eventually, the debate began to wind down, with Jane bringing things to a close. As the focus shifted back to Kaye, she threw her hands up and declared, “I can’t do this anymore!” before diverting her attention to Jane’s new look, highlighting her striking lipstick choice.
Loose Women viewers at home joined the debate on social media, with one individual venting: “Stop interrupting each other #LooseWomen.
“Well said, Mariella #loosewomen,” another telly watcher penned; however, someone else contended: “Mariella never allows anyone else to have a point of view #loosewomen.”
Loose Women broadcasts on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1.
