A police operation is continuing in the area following the collision.
One person has been taken to hospital following a serious late night crash in East Belfast on Sunday, September 27.
The Castlereagh Road is currently closed to traffic in both directions due to a serious road traffic collision involving a motorbike and skip. Closures are in place at Clara Street and the Beersbridge Road. A number of side streets have also been closed.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time and seek an alternative route for their journey.

A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service confirmed that it received a 999 call at 23:48 on Sunday, September 27 following reports of a road traffic collision in the Castlereagh Road area, Belfast.
A spokesperson added: “NIAS tasked two Emergency Ambulance crews to the scene. Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one person was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast by ambulance.”
Meanwhile, a police operation is continuing in the area following the collision. The extensively damaged motorbike has just been removed from the scene. Motorists and school children are still being diverted away from the area.
