Emmerdale fans are convinced they have worked out the identity of newcomer Kev’s mother and she is already in the village
Emmerdale viewers are certain newcomer Kev already has a family member residing in the village.
It was announced earlier this year that former EastEnders star Chris Coghill is joining the cast of the ITV soap as enigmatic Kev.
Next week, the fresh character arrives in Emmerdale village, seeking directions and fans believe they know why he shows up unexpectedly.
Writing on X, previously known as Twitter, one viewer posted: “I’m still wondering if Kev is going to be Celia’s son because she new a lot about Robert’s family (even though they are well known) #Emmerdale.”
Another social media user responded: “That’s a good point. I’d forgotten that. I think she’s the drug boss and Ray works for them.”, reports the Daily Star.
A third person concurred: “Yes it could be and I was wondering if Robert had to either do drugs in prison or sell them. I could be way off mind.”

Viewers were introduced to farmer Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) back in June when she approached Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) about renting two of her fields, but could she be Kev’s mother?
This comes after Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) received a cryptic text during Friday’s (September 26) episode which read: “Stop ignoring me. Call me. K.”
Emmerdale spoilers have revealed Robert is shocked to answer a knock at the door to a recognisable face in forthcoming scenes.
Ensuring no-one on the street is observing, he permits the mystery man inside with it clear that he’s a contact from prison. Victoria Sugden (Isobel Hodgins) is left bewildered when she walks in on her brother holding hands with a man who isn’t Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
After finally managing to get rid of him, Robert knows he’s in for a tough conversation with his sister.
Recently, Robert and Aaron had a heart-to-heart as they recovered from their encounter with killer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).
A vulnerable Aaron attempted to kiss Robert, but his ex pulled away, pushing them both back a few steps. Robert confessed that he still has feelings for Aaron, but not while he’s in such a fragile state.
Fans will have to stay tuned to see how Kev’s arrival impacts their budding romance.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
