Emmerdale viewers are convinced a new romance is brewing between two villagers
Emmerdale fans are growing concerned for Laurel Thomas as she takes a fancy to a new man.
As regular viewers of the ITV soap will know, Laurel (played by Charlotte Bellamy) has had her fair share of heartbreak over the years, with her last marriage to Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) ending in catastrophe.
After her tumultuous divorce from Jai, she found herself drawn to vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin). However, their love story was short-lived due to interference from their ex-partners, Jai and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker).
Before her ill-fated marriage to local entrepreneur Jai, she tragically lost her husband Ashley Thomas (John Middleton) to Alzheimer’s, and her marriage to Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) also ended in failure.

However, romance could be on the horizon for Laurel as she catches the eye of drug dealer Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), reports the Daily Star.
During Thursday’s visit to the village (September 25), Laurel and Ray seemed to meet for the first time at The Hide and didn’t hesitate to engage in some flirtatious banter.
But the former vicar’s wife is oblivious to the fact that Ray is exploiting local teenagers, April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle), to peddle drugs.
In a shocking turn of events, Ray has ensnared the pair with counterfeit drug drop robberies, leaving them under the impression they owe him thousands. Will Laurel uncover Ray’s sinister side before it’s too late?
Emmerdale fans are anticipating a budding romance between the two but are cautioning Laurel to steer clear of the rogue.
One viewer took to Facebook, writing: “Who is thinking Ray and Laurel are going to get closer? She’s definitely liking him, and she could be useful to him maybe? This would be another storyline! Where will this go then?”.
Another commented: “I thought this bet they get together”, while a third added: “There was defo chemistry there. Laurel would fall for anyone!”.
