Groom Michael Ebbage had his wedding in the place his mum and dad call home
A Dunmurry care home has hosted a heartfelt wedding celebration for a local couple.
Groom Michael Ebbage had his wedding in the place his mum and dad call home, Parkmanor Oaks Care Home.
Residents, family and staff members gathered at the private nursing home in Dunmurry on September 10 to celebrate the love of Sandra and Michael in an intimate humanist ceremony.
While the couple wanted to keep the day low-key, the Parkmanor Oaks team created an elegant setting for the ceremony, followed by a cosy drinks reception in the home’s bar, and finishing with afternoon tea in the foyer, complete with music and dancing.
During his speech, groom Michael said: “My lovely sister Jenny and I both feel extremely lucky to have found Parkmanor Oaks for mum and dad – not just to be very well cared for, but also to be loved. I can’t praise Claire and all her staff here enough!”
Claire Black, Manager at Parkmanor Oaks, commented on her unique day at work: “The wedding on Wednesday will remain a lasting memory for all of us at Parkmanor Oaks.
“It was an honour to be entrusted with such an important family occasion and to make sure that Iris and Bill, our much-loved residents, could be at the very heart of the wedding day.
“Thank you to our entire team for always going the extra mile.”
A statement added: “The day not only marked a milestone for Sandra and Michael but also highlighted Parkmanor Oaks’ commitment to creating a warm, family-centred community where life’s most meaningful moments can be celebrated together.”
