Kick off your football playing dream with USA soccer scholarship showcase event

Schoolboys and students from Northern Ireland are this month being given the chance to kick off their dream of playing football and studying in the USA.

Irish US soccer scholarship agency SMUSA is hosting an event at Queen’s University’s Malone Playing Fields in South Belfast on Sunday September 28 for those who wish to carry on playing football whilst studying at university or college.

Male footballers between the ages of 15 and 21 can find out more about the soccer scholarship route and gain valuable video footage from playing in a 11 v 11 game followed by a detailed presentation with SMUSA director Stephen Murray, who has more than 20 years’ experience in college soccer – as a player, coach and college placement consultant.

Having placed players from all over Northern Ireland at top universities, SMUSA is keen to give candidates across the country the opportunity to pursue full-time football and a quality education.
