Emmerdale’s Celia Daniels could come face to face with her long-lost son in upcoming scenes
Emmerdale’s Celia Daniels could be in danger as her estranged son might already be in the village.
Soap viewers will know that drug dealer Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) made his first appearance in the Dales earlier this year when Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) contacted him about buying Lewis Barton’s (Bradley Riches) cannabis crop.
Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) then covertly stole the drugs and sold them to Ray, using the proceeds to buy his grandmother Annie’s (Sheila Mercier) field.
It later came to light that Ray was involved with Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle), having persuaded the youngster to scope out Butler’s Farm by breaking in.
However, the scheme went disastrously wrong when a scared Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) stabbed Dylan in the leg with a pitchfork, reports the Daily Star.

Now, Ray has entangled himself with April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan), who is frantically trying to find Dylan a place to stay after Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) evicted him last week.
On Monday night (1 September), Ray coerced Dylan into undertaking a risky job, with April stepping up to do it instead.
Upon her arrival at the car park for the drug drop, a hooded man demanded she hand over the bag before brandishing a knife.
Dylan comforted a shaken April, who had no choice but to give the drugs to the stranger, before it was revealed that Ray had masterminded the entire encounter.
Now, numerous Emmerdale enthusiasts reckon that Ray might be reunited with a long-lost relative in forthcoming episodes, with many theorising that Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) could be his mother.
This follows Celia’s recent heart-to-heart with Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) about losing touch with her grown-up son.
“[I have] a son whom I barely get to see, which is appropriate. He’s a grown man with his own life; he shouldn’t have to worry about me,” she revealed.
“My husband died a few years ago… They say it’s supposed to get easier with time. [The pain] dims a little, then pops up when you least expect it.”
On the possibility of Ray being Celia’s offspring, one viewer posted on a Facebook fan page: “Wasn’t it Ray who got Dylan to break into the farm when he got stabbed with that fork. Celia was working for Kim, maybe she asked Ray (her son maybe) to arrange it?”
Another commented: “Yesss they must be related,” whilst a third remarked: “Ooo I could totally see this being revealed.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
