House of Guinness: Watch the first trailer for Netflix’s newest series lead by Belfast actor Anthony Boyle

It comes from the creator behind Peaky Blinders

The first trailer has been released for Netflix ‘s newest series House of Guinness.

Lead by Belfast actor Anthony Boyle, the series whisks us back to the 1860s, where the “powerful and debaucherous” Guinness family is on the precipice of greatness.

The Say Nothing actor settles into the role of Arthur Guinness with Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn and Fionn O’Shea set to star as the remaining Guinness siblings.

From the creator of Peaky Blinders, all eight episodes of House of Guinness will be available on Netflix on September 25.

A House of Guinness description reads: “House of Guinness explores an epic story inspired by one of Europe’s most famous and enduring dynasties—the Guinness family.

“Set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, the story begins immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben, as well as on a group of Dublin characters who work and interact with the phenomenon that is Guinness.

Also joining the cast is star of the Oscar-winning NI short film An Irish Goodbye and Blue Lights actor Seamus O’Hara, who can be seen in the trailer as protestor Patrick Cochrane.

Ahead of the series launch, creator Steven Knight told Netflix: “It’s the extraordinary story of a family who happens to be the inheritors of the biggest brewery in the world. They’re young and are given the task of taking on this incredibly successful brand.

“The first priority is: Don’t screw it up. And the second priority is to make Guinness even bigger.”
