“We’ve been cooking up something new behind the scenes”
The owners of a popular restaurant in South Belfast have announced plans to expand into the city centre.
Restaurateurs Christina and Jonny Taylor, who run Shed Bistro on the Ormeau Road, are set to open a new venture in Belfast city centre next month.
Shed first opened in June 2013 and doubled in size in 2020 following a £200,000 investment by the husband-and-wife team. Since then it has established itself as one of the city’s most popular restaurants.

In a quirky social media post, they said: “It’s with heavy hearts we share that after pouring everything into Shed Bistro… the long nights, the early mornings, the endless graft… we’ve finally decided it’s time to close our doors on Monday.
“We know it’s sudden, but we’re exhausted and need to step back…… But only for one day.”
They added: “Because we’ve been cooking up something new behind the scenes. Shed Bistro is about to become a big brother — say hello to Shed Grill & Seafood opening Thursday 4th September at 17 Brunswick Street.
“Come as you are. Eat well. Leave happy. Bookings now open: shedbelfast.com or grill@shedbelfast.com”
