We might still be enjoying a glorious spell of good weather this August but many of Belfast’s best known hotels and restaurants are already thinking ahead to Christmas 2025.

With just over four months to go until Christmas Day and despite this latest blast of sizzling summer heat, some of the city’s top eating establishments are preparing early by revealing their festive food offerings.

The arrival of the Belfast Christmas Market on November 15th usually marks the official countdown and signals the start for many of us to get out and about and into the festive spirit.

Belfast is now widely regarded for its eclectic mix of places to wine and dine so whether you want a top notch meal or a cosy spot to sip a festive tipple, you’ll certainly be spoilt for choice.

Several popular venues are already offering Christmas dinner experiences for 2025, from traditional pub-style meals to more luxurious hotel dining experiences.

Here’s our pick of some of the best early bird offerings.

AMPM

You can enjoy an evening at AMPM on Upper Arthur Street with its baroque décor, quirky local artwork and a relaxed, bohemian atmosphere. As the festive season approaches, they invite you to join them beneath the twinkling lights and amidst the delightful floral surroundings.

For only £32.50pp, you can enjoy a two-course Christmas lunch or alternatively, a two-course dinner from Sunday to Thursday is priced at £37.50 pp and perfect for those mid-week festive gatherings. On Fridays and Saturdays, celebrate the weekend in style with a two-course dinner available at £42.50pp.

Their Christmas menu is available from Friday, 7th November until Sunday, 30th December, with lunch sittings at 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm, and evening sittings at 6.30pm, 8pm and 9.30pm.

The Morning Star

This place is a classic for a reason! Belfast Institution, Grand Old Lady of Belfast, The Star are just a few of the names The Morning Star goes by .

Still independent and family owned, famed for its beef and lamb farm, as home to the best steaks in Belfast and for serving great pints, vino. This is a popular choice for the punters of Belfast and a great place to get the gang together for some festive fun, a work night out or family meal.

Their seasonal a la carte and special three-course festive menu from £37.50 for lunch and dinner will kick off on 17th November and run until 31st December.

The Northern Whig

Located at the historic gateway to the city’s , The Northern Whig offers an unforgettable experience in one of Belfast’s most iconic buildings. Indulge in the spirit of the season with The Northern Whig’s festive menu, a harmonious blend of traditional favourites and innovative dishes.

The three course Christmas is priced at £32 Sunday – Thursday (all day); Friday lunch (12pm & 2.30pm) £36; Friday dinner (5pm & 7.45pm) £40 and Saturday (all day) £40.

Revolución de Cuba

Revolucion de Cuba provides a Cuban-inspired Christmas dinner with various options like tapas feasting, two or three-course meals, and a Cuban buffet.
