PSNI appeal after male assaulted near Queen’s University sports building

The PSNI has launched an investigation after a male was assaulted in the Queen’s University area of Belfast.

An appeal for information said the victim was assaulted on August 9 around the Queen’s PEC area off the Stranmillis Embankment in the south of the city.

Police have not released any details of the suspect or the nature of the assault.

A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said: “Police are investigating a report of a male being assaulted in the area of Queens PEC, Belfast.

“This occurred on Saturday 9th August at approximately 5.55pm.

“If you observed this incident or have any information, please contact us on 101 quoting reference 1581 of 11/08/25.”
