EastEnders fans are convinced that Suki Panesar will leave Walford after Avani’s abortion bombshell

EastEnders has delivered heartbreaking news for Suki Panesar after teenager Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) chose to end her pregnancy.

As BBC One soap fans will recall, Suki (Balvinder Sopal) had arranged to bring up her adoptive granddaughter’s baby as her own alongside wife Eve (Heather Peace).

The shocking pregnancy revelation remained hidden from Avani’s parents and troublesome teenager Joel Marshall (Max Murray), who was the father.

In Tuesday’s episode (August 12), Suki became suspicious when Avani and Eve made excuses to leave together, not realising they were heading to a clinic.

“I think we should tell Suki,” Eve told Avani as she fretted about deceiving her wife. She continued: “I don’t think I can keep something this big from her because we’ve promised to be honest with each other”, reports Plymouth Live.

Avani pleaded with Eve not to reveal anything until after the procedure, insisting that Suki would attempt to persuade her to continue with the pregnancy, which she didn’t want.

When Eve spoke to Suki, her wife revealed her concerns about Avani wanting to end the pregnancy, prompting Eve to keep Avani’s secret.

Subsequently, Eve located Avani and confirmed she hadn’t informed Suki, telling her: “She’ll try to sway you, and this has to be your decision”, before they departed for the clinic.

After the procedure, an emotional Avani confided in Eve that she wanted to find her mum Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) and reveal the truth. “I just really want my mum. I want to tell her everything,” she sobbed.

Upon Suki’s return home, she was met with confrontation from Priya and Ravi (Aaron Thiara), who had already been informed of the truth by their daughter.

The angry duo revealed the shocking news that Avani had undergone a termination, stating: “There is no baby.”

Suki turned to Eve, who expressed her regret, and Avani confirmed that she had had an abortion.

EastEnders viewers are now speculating that Suki will either be forced out of Walford by Ravi or compelled to leave the family home. Fans are also aware that Balvinder Sopal, who plays Suki, has signed up for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
