The man reportedly threw two petrol bombs at a property in Ahoghill
Police are looking for a man who was wearing black clothing following an arson attack in Co Antrim where two petrol bombs were allegedly thrown at a property.
The incident took place at around 1.15am on Monday, August 11, in the Brookfield Gardens area of Ahoghill when a man wearing black clothing was seen approaching a property with a black bag before throwing an object at a window. This was followed by the man lighting another item and throwing it along with a rock.
The man also lit another item and threw it towards another window of the property that was open. He then fled in the direction of Old Portglenone Road, in the direction of Ahoghill.

Detective Sergeant Erskine said: “We received a report at around 1.15am this morning, Monday, 11 th August, that two petrol bombs had been thrown at a property in the Brookfield Gardens area.
“Officers attended along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service, however, there was no sign of any fire or smoke.
“A male, wearing black clothing, was seen approaching the premises with a black bag.. He then threw an object at a window of the property before lighting another item and throwing this towards the same window, followed by a rock.
“A further lighted item was then thrown towards a different, open window of the property before the suspect made off along the Old Portglenone Road, in the direction of Ahoghill.
“Our enquiries into this are ongoing, and I would appeal to anyone who may be able to assist with our investigation, particularly anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or other relevant footage, to contact us on 101, quoting reference 75 of 11/08/25.
