Emmerdale’s Vinny Dingle has been struggling with his sexuality in recent scenes.
Emmerdale fans believe that a soap icon could return from the dead after three years to stop Vinny Dingle and Gabby Thomas’ wedding.
Regular soap viewers will know that Vinny (Bradley Johnson) and Gabby (Rosie Bentham) got engaged in April, just weeks after moving into Dale View with Gabby’s young son, Thomas (Bertie Brotherton).
However, Vinny has since started to struggle with his sexuality after he tried to kiss Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) in June.
On Wednesday (August 6), Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) confessed to Vinny that he kissed his ex-husband, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), on his wedding day to John (Oliver Farnworth).

Noticing that his admission made Vinny sheepish, Aaron told him that most people have doubts before getting married.
Vinny then opened up to Aaron about trying to kiss someone else, but didn’t reveal who.
“It’s a bit more than a wobble, going in for a kiss with someone. I felt like a right dope because it wasn’t a two-way thing,” Vinny said.
Aaron then noted: “You can’t marry someone if you’re not sure,” with Vinny quickly replying: “Yeah, but I am sure.”
During Thursday’s (August 7) hour-long episode, which is now available to stream on ITVX, Vinny searched the internet for answers about his sexuality.
Now, several Emmerdale fans are convinced that Vinny’s ex-wife, Liv Dingle (Isobel Steele), could return from the dead to stop his upcoming nuptials to Gabby.
Liv was tragically killed off back in 2022 after being crushed by a caravan during a storm that marked Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary.
Many soap viewers believe that Liv could appear as an apparition to Vinny in upcoming scenes, as he continues to ponder his sexuality.
“I’d love to see Liv come back as a hallucination for Vinny. She could make him see sense and stop his wedding to Gabby,” one person wrote on a Facebook fan page.
Another added: “Oo yess I’d love this, I miss Liv so much,” while a third said: “Wow what a great idea.”
A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: “This would be amazing. Vinny will always have a special place in his heart for Liv so would definitely listen to her if he saw her as a ghost. Either way it’s bad news for Gabby.”
