Loose Women make major announcement as they share ‘first ever’ expert line up

by wellnessfitpro

This week, ITV viewers will see Loose Women have a huge change as some well-known faces will be joining the panel.

The beloved ITV show Loose Women is set for a shake-up with the debut of their first-ever Loose Doctors special this Wednesday.

Dr Amir Khan, Dr Zoe Williams Dr Nighat Arif and Dr Hilary Jones, who recently returned to ITV after an operation, will be on hand to delve into the health issues that are most pressing for viewers and offer advice on enhancing personal wellbeing.

During the midday programme, the quartet of ITV Daytime doctors will address the taboo subjects that many shy away from discussing and provide their best advice for a longer, more joyful life.

This comes in the wake of some ITV viewers criticising Alan Titchmarsh for ‘ruining’ a garden, leaving foster parents in tears.

In anticipation of the episode, Dr Amir, a regular on Good Morning Britain, commented: “This is the first time four of ITV’s Daytime doctors will be on the panel together to look at the health issues that affect us all.

“We’ll be sharing our expert medical advice and having some very candid conversations about the things that our patients are often too embarrassed to talk about, but shouldn’t be, and hopefully giving them the confidence to make the most of their appointments.

“I’m really looking forward to the episode and hope that viewers will enjoy it, as well as learning some important and potentially life saving tips too.”

This Morning’s Dr Nighat expressed her joy at joining a special panel, saying: “I couldn’t be happier sharing a panel with some dear colleagues and friends for this special episode.

“We will be opening up on some of our own heartfelt health stories and having a number of important conversations about how viewers can look after themselves, as well as sharing our top self-examination tips.”

She added that the personal touch from medical professionals is vital:, saying: “As doctors, we are also humans and hope that by sharing a little part of our own lives, our patients and viewers know that they’re not alone and sometimes, we’re going through similar things to them.”

The unique edition follows in the footsteps of other one-off specials like Loose Men panels commemorating International Men’s Day, reports the Mirror.

Dr Zoe shared her enthusiasm, commenting: “I’m so excited for this episode of Loose Doctors. While the four of us know each other well, we’ll be sharing some of our own stories and experiences, just as our patients bravely share theirs with us.

“We hope this offers viewers the chance to get to know us better and helps people feel more comfortable opening up. We’re going to be tackling some of the taboo topics people might not always want to discuss, to empower you to feel confident in understanding and checking your own body, and knowing when to seek help.”

Dr Hilary

Dr Hilary, who frequently appears alongside Lorraine Kelly, commented on the upcoming show: “I think viewers are going to love the first-ever Loose Doctors episode.

“You’ll see four of ITV’s Daytime doctors open up about their personal journeys whilst offering some of our tips to look after you and your family. I hope that viewers will learn a lot and be entertained at the same time as we open the Loose Doctors doors for the first time.”

Since its debut in 1999, Loose Women has become a staple on ITV, featuring a diverse panel of women who tackle a wide array of topics, from politics and current events to the latest celebrity gossip, all from their unique perspectives.

However, the show is among several daytime programmes at ITV that are facing reductions, with the daytime talk show set to be cut down to 30 weeks per year by 2026.

Just last week, Linda Robson, one of the panel members, shared her concerns regarding the upcoming changes to the programme.

Loose Women is available to watch on ITVX.
