Coronation Street spoilers have teased that a character is set to leave the cobbles this year, with new details hinting that the exit is just around the corner
Coronation Street spoilers have teased the end of the road for one character, as an imminent departure could be on the cards.
In forthcoming episodes of the much-loved ITV soap, it appears Aadi Alahan’s (Adam Hussain) reckless behaviour and criminal activities will finally catch up with him. Dev Alahan’s (Jimmi Harkishin) son is grappling with recent events and will turn to alcohol for solace.
His debt, the theft from his family in a staged robbery, and the fact his drug-use led to Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) injuries after the house party all contribute to his downward spiral. Actor Adam Hussain confirmed not so long ago he was leaving the role, and with that we knew Aadi would depart at some point.

Since then, the character’s life has started to crumble, with his relationship with Lauren built on lies, and his stepmother Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) concealing his deceit from the family, and trying to help him recover the money he owes. Things come to a head next week, with spoilers revealing a turning point, reports the Mirror.
Amid an incident at Dev and Bernie’s wedding that sees Bernie rushed to hospital and in a bad way, Aadi turns to alcohol. At this point his relative Aunty Rani has arrived, and after offering funds towards the wedding she is keen to keep track of what’s being spent.
Aadi is in a panic, fully aware he’s trying to cut corners to save money. When things escalate with Bernie, the outcome remains uncertain – but the family are all summoned to the hospital.
In the subsequent episode, it all becomes too much and he turns to alcohol. He ends up falling and hitting his head after an altercation with Theo Silverton, while it’s evident Aadi is spiralling.
As Lauren grows worried for her new beau, it becomes clear he is avoiding her, unable to cope with the guilt. So when she sets off to find him and locates him, nothing can prepare her for what he’s about to disclose.
Aadi decides he can’t lie anymore, and chooses to tell Lauren about the LSD and how it was his drink spiked with the drug that she consumed, resulting in her serious injury. A photo shows Lauren looking shocked but how will she respond to Aadi’s lies?
Before long, Aadi decides the truth needs to be told, and he steels himself to confess everything to his father Dev and the rest of his family. Viewers will have to watch to see his reaction, and what this means for Aadi ahead of his departure from the show.
Could Aadi face repercussions for what happened? Might he end up running away, or will he decide to relocate and start anew?
All will be revealed soon. Aadi has been on the show since 2006, with Sunita introducing him and his twin sister Asha on the show – and soon, after 19 years, the character will be making his exit.
