Police appeal after shot fired at house in Newry

An upstairs bedroom window was smashed with the damage believed to have been caused by a gunshot.

Police are appealing for information following a report of a shot being fired at a house.

Officers received a report at around 10.50pm on Wednesday, 3rd December of a person with a firearm outside a property in the Mullavat Road area of Newry.

The PSNI attended the address and found that an upstairs bedroom window had been smashed, with the damage believed to have been caused by a gunshot. However, no one was injured.

A police spokesperson added: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time or who has any information, including dash-cam, CCTV or other footage, to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1583 of 03/12/25.
