PSNI name man who died in crash between lorry and van

The 57-year-old passed away at the scene of the crash

Police have named the man who sadly died after a crash between a lorry and van in Co Derry.

David Elder from the Ballymoney area passed away after the two vehicle crash on the Windyhill Road, between Limavady and Coleraine, on Thursday, November 20.

The 57-year-old died at the scene of the collision which was reported shortly after 9.45am. Police have issued an appeal for information and witnesses.

Chief Inspector Celeste Simpson from the Collision Investigation Unit said: “Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision.

“We are particularly keen to hear from persons who witnessed the collision or captured dash-cam footage which may assist with our enquiries. If you can assist please contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 381 20/11/25.”
