I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! returned to ITV tonight, but fans were not happy with the line-up.
I’m A Celebrity fans have voiced their disappointment over this year’s cast as the beloved ITV reality programme makes its return.
The iconic series, featuring hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly alongside the notorious Bushtucker Trials, launched its 25th series on Sunday, November 16.
Tonight’s opening episode revealed several of this year’s jungle inhabitants, featuring EastEnders star Shona McGarty, Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp, and model-actress Kelly Brook.
Whilst viewers were delighted to see the programme back on screens, social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, was soon flooded with commentary about the celebrity selection.
A significant number of viewers shared the view that not only were many of the participants unfamiliar to them, but this year’s selection represents the “worst line-up ever”.

One viewer wrote: “I can’t deny this probably the worst lineup for many years, but hopefully it still delivers.”
Another concurred: “Probably the worst line up of celebrities they’ve ever sent into the jungle”, whilst a third commented: “Must be the worst lineups of all time..”
One disappointed fan remarked: “Got absolutely no interest in #imaceleb this year which I’m kinda gutted about bc i watch it every year. But the line-up is terrible this year.”
Rapper Aitch featured amongst the initial introductions, with audience members admitting they were unfamiliar with him or uncertain about the pronunciation of his name.
“The fact half the people watching this know H as H from
steps and don’t know who aitch is and the other half don’t have a clue who H from steps is and only know Aitch”, one viewer laughed.
Another wrote: “I must be getting old. I’ve not got a clue who aitch or angry ginge are”, whilst a third asked: “Watching “Guess The Celebrity”, I mean I’m A Celebrity. Kelly, Martin, Jack and Shona I know. Who the hell is Aitch?”.
True to form, I’m A Celebrity launched in spectacular style as the opening five contestants were required to leap from a helicopter.
However, as Dec Donnelly explained, this was merely “the start” as they subsequently faced a bug-riddled trial to secure a place in the premium Get Away vehicle which would transport them directly to camp.
The question remains whether the famous faces can handle their remaining stint on the programme, having now experienced what lies ahead.
I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV and ITVX.
