A Loose Women star made a sweet family announcement live on Friday’s (October 17) show.

Today’s instalment of the popular ITV show was presented by Kaye Adams and also featured Frankie Bridge, GK Barry and Jane Moore as they explored the day’s leading stories.

During the show, Frankie shared some thrilling news – she’s welcomed a new puppy named Chewie into her home.

“They call it puppy love and there’s a whole lot of it in your house Frankie, isn’t there?” Kaye began, to which Frankie responded: “Yeah, I got a new baby. Baby Chewie.”

An image of the tiny dog was then displayed on screen, leading Jane to ask with disappointment: “Why didn’t you bring him in?” reports the Express.

Frankie went on to describe her new pet: “He is a chihuahua. Look at him. He is an absolute angel. So confident though.”

Kaye remarked: “They’re quite fierce chihuahuas, though?” with Frankie confirming that her puppy was actually very “chilled”.

“He’s not at all, he’s really chilled, but he’s rapid. Let me tell you, when he goes in the garden, I worry about massive birds coming down and getting him because he’s tiny, so I have to go out with him,” she elaborated.

“But when I want him to come back in, he doesn’t want to. He runs off and I cannot catch him, he’s so fast.”

Kaye humorously concluded: “We want to see that video, we absolutely want to see that video.”

Frankie introduced her Instagram followers to the newest member of her family earlier today, with a series of photos. “It’s about time he had his hard launch… meet Chewie. Our very tiny, newest member of the Bridge family,” she captioned the post.

Her fans were quick to express their delight in the comments section. One person wrote: “No. Stop. Help. Chewie is the best thing on my timeline today.”

Another chimed in with: “Oh he’s so cute,” while a third commented: “Omg so super cute. His little smile is too adorable.”

Elsewhere on today’s Loose Women, the panel spoke about Victoria Beckham’s new Netflix documentary and interviewed Sarah Beeny about DIY and her family life.
